Spannabis, one of Europe’s largest cannabis trade fairs, has announced that its March 2025 edition will be the last to be held in Barcelona.

This event, which attracts tens of thousands of people from around the world, has been held in Barcelona since its inception in 2002.

Event organizers announced today that the venue, the Fira de Cornella, will be demolished in 2026, and that there is no suitable alternative in the Catalan capital.

Barcelona has become a popular destination for fairgoers and industry members, thanks in part to its cannabis scene and social clubs.

The announcement was made by Spannabis in an email sent to exhibitors on March 6. In the email, the organizers explained that they do not have access to any venue in Barcelona or the surrounding area that meets the necessary requirements to host the event. Spannabis 2026 will therefore be held at the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC), in northern Spain
